On Consumer Recalls and Public Health

Several recent recalls got me thinking.

The FDA announced on May 15 that California-based organic Straus Family Creamery was recalling some of their ice cream flavors due to concern for potential metal fragments in the dairy delicacy. This recall affected 17 states, including my native Pennsylvania. Certainly, a good idea. Although I’ve had patients swallow pins and pass them without incident!

On the same day, Costco announced that it was recalling 113,440 various electric kettle units “due to the potential for the handle to loosen or break off.” At least one person had suffered second-degree burns. The same article reported that Costco was in the midst of recalling 18,000 patio swings that had injured 8 people when the swing detached from the frame. Excellent ideas all.

Chocolatier Spring & Mulberry announced on May 8 that with the help of the FDA, they were conducting a “root cause investigation” and expanding a recall on their chocolate products amid potential concerns for Salmonella. Yet the company’s FAQ site states that “if you’ve already consumed the product and are not experiencing symptoms, there is no need for concern [as] all products included in this expanded recall have tested negative for Salmonella, and there have been no reports [emphasis mine] of illness associated with these products.” Again, it never hurts to err on the side of caution.

With assistance from the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission, Thermos announced on April 30 that they were recalling 8.2 million products due to stoppers forcefully ejecting from the container and causing permanent vision loss in 3 people with 27 reports of injuries. Consumers were advised to “stop using the recalled Food Jars and Bottles immediately…” Proper procedure for sure!

Yet approximately 350,000 Americans (not worldwide data) have been KILLED by the Covid jab and up to 2 million SERIOUSLY INJURED, according to a Claude Opus 4.7 analysis as reported by Steve Kirsch. Claude acknowledged that no other health authority has done a similar analysis as represented in this data.

Not the FDA?

Not the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission?

No. Nada. Nil. Zip. Zilch. Zero.

Thanks to the several-year tireless work of Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) in his capacity as chairman of the U.S Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, we now have his April 29, 2026, report entitled “Unmasked: How Biden Health Officials Purposely Turned a Blind Eye Toward COVID-19 Vaccine Safety Signals.” The full PDF report is available here.

As Steve Kirsch succinctly states, there are only two things you really need to know about this report:

1. The safety signals were real and serious.

2. The FDA and CDC ignored them.

The CDC still has the following on their website (as of today’s writing):

This type of hubris and dishonesty in light of what we have really known all along and now certainly know with unquestionable clarity is beyond the pale of respectability. There appear to be 4 types of people in relation to the narrative that has emerged since 2020. I challenge my readers to identify yourself in one of the following:

• Those who saw from the outset what was happening.

• Those who saw several months into the pandemic and self-corrected.

• Those who now see what was happening. This group seems to have selective amnesia regarding their own positions during the pandemic and often seem to suggest that “we just move on” (from what?). This group seems to see no need to apologize or repent.

• Those who still don’t see.

So yes, I’d love to write about something other than the effects of Covid! But there’s still a significant number of people in the 3rd & 4th categories above. And as long as that is the case, I will continue to write.

Unfortunately, the CDC and the FDA are not coming to save us. The government is not coming to save us. The Lord alone is our salvation.

In the meantime, arm yourself with the Truth, because as Jesus said, “…the truth will set you free” (John 8:32)!

And the next time you read about a recall, ask yourself when the U.S. Government last initiated a recall that was not the elephant standing in the middle of the room.
